Danielle STEEL - "Światła Południa"

Czytałem jej tylko jedną książkę "Tata" z 1989 roku, czyli wcześniejszą od tej o 20 lat i w notce pisałem:

"....TYPOWE CZYTADŁO!
Danielle Steel (ur. 1947), autorka ponad 100 książek, czwarta na "List of best-selling fiction authors", z 800 mln egzemplarzy, za Szekspirem (2 mld), Agatą Christie (2 mld) i Babarą Cartland (1 mld). Steel ma dodatkowy atut w rywalizacji: w przeciwieństwie do pozostałych żyje i pisze. Jest tak popularna, że rekomendacji nie potrzebuje, więc mam miejsce i czas, by zaprotestować przeciw określaniu jej twórczości jako "literatury dla kobiet". (Tak napisano np w Wikipedii), Drogie Panie! Przecież takie określenie jest wobec Was obraźliwe i dyskryminujące.. Protestujcie! Nie ma "literatury dla kobiet"; jest tylko literatura dobra i zła....."

Powyższe pozostaje aktualne i przy tej książce, bo znowu spotykam upór w dyskryminacji książki przez nazywanie jej "literaturą dla kobiet". Ta książka z 2009 roku, jest 79-ą z kolei, a wytłumaczenie tytułu znajduje w Wikipedii:

Na LC ma 6,38 (176 ocen i 20 opinii), co w porównaniu z dwadzieścia lat wcześniejszym "Tatą" (6,67 (281 ocen i 27 opinii)) świadczy o regresie i grzechu rutyny autorki, a ja oceniam to czytadło za bardzo przeciętne i daję 5 gwiazdek tj tyle co przy równie słabym "Tacie".
